Well, the summer has come and gone. It was a crazy one. I managed my time just fine, and even fit in a 5-day lake house vacation with the family. I had my most productive summer ever. From May-August I had 19 closed transactions, including four off the market (not listed in the MLS)! September is presenting itself as a slower month, but I am looking at this as time to focus on my business, brand, listings, and the future.

For the last two months, we have been focusing on “What is next?” for the Jo & Co. office space. In December of last year, I signed a year long lease, and we aren’t renter kinds of people. We have this deep desire to purchase. I understand that leasing has its place, but when you want to make and claim something as your own, purchasing is all you can think about. It seriously has been consuming me, and some days controlling my mood. We have been physically looking at land and homes to purchase. And yesterday was a great day.

So, I have these huge dreams for the Jo & Co. office. Yesterday I think we found the house that I want to call my office. It is a tudor y’all! It is so cute, and needs tons of work, but has original door hardware and original hardwood floors. It truly is amazing, if you can look past the trees covering the pretty facade, and the insanely outdated kitchen. It was built in the 1950s and has the coolest black and white tile in the bathrooms. And the location. Holy cow. It is a super cool location. I hope I get the chance to share it with y’all!

We put an offer in for it last night. The tough part of the situation, is that it is insanely overpriced, and it isn’t even worth (according to comps) what the seller paid for it 3 years ago. So now we sit and wait. We sit and wait to see if this is even possible. But it is truly so cool. I am excited. I am antsy. I want to make it mine right now.

Patience. That is something I lack when it comes to my own life and future. I have an unlimited amount of patience when it comes to clients, friends, and usually my kids. Lol. But yeah, I want my dreams and desires to happen now. I guess I am flawed in that aspect.

But any who, my lease is up at the end of December, so we still have some time, but this is going to be a domino for so many amazing things to come. I don’t remember if I expressed my (financial) goals here or not, but they are on the podcast. Which that is another thing I have failed to be updating lately.

The summer schedule was one totally out of my new comfort zone. I only had childcare three days a week, and for one whole month, I had no built in family to help. That was July. It was a tough one, but now that school is back in session, I am in a ready to focus on the business and my career similar to my efforts before summer began.

I am huge into starting fresh, and I love that planners come out for August. I got myself a new one. Let’s be real, I have more than I can count. And journals/notebooks? I am addicted people. I don’t even know where an addiction like this comes from? So, yes, I got a new planner, and I am filling it with intention.

Side note, today was a bit miserable. I started writing this blog post at Barnes & Nobel / Starbucks this morning, and now the night has faded into “tomorrow”, which is the new today.. I had an allergic reaction to who knows what, and I took one itty bitty Benadryl. I have never done that before. And I felt the worst I have ever felt. I could not keep my eyes open. And then I had to show my listing, and the people didn’t show up. We rescheduled, and that happened at 4-something. Then I ended up showing them 5 more houses between 6:30p and 9p. Luckily I snapped out of the sleepiness, but had to take some intermittent naps. And now it is almost 1am, and I am super alert. So here I am to complete my GOTD (goal of the day) to write a blog post!
